Homemade Pizza

It was just one of those evenings where I felt a little treat was in order. I had some of my Grandma’s Tomato Sauce already made and decided to use whatever I had in the fridge as toppings. Mind you if this pizza making was premeditated the toppings would have most likely included goat-milk cheese and olives. However this pizza turned out great, and made everyone in the office jealous the next day when I had the leftovers for lunch.

Swedish (Ikea-style) Meatballs

I’ve been wanting to try a recipe for Swedish meatballs for a while now, and being the Ikea-lover (read: addict) that I am I was way too excited when I found a recipe for so called “Ikea Meatballs”. I tried it out though, and they are really good. I was impressed with my amazing gravy making abilities while following this recipe. At first I was a bit stingy with the soy sauce since I thought the beef broth might make the gravy already too salty. But the Swedes know their meatballs, just follow the recipe exactly as is and it works out great. In true Ikea tradition, you can assemble this meal all by yourself (Alan key not required). I highly recommend the optional Allspice..it’s what gives the meatballs that distinctly ‘Ikea‘ taste.
